PANDORA BATHROOM
What is the inspiration for your design?
While the bathroom was once considered a smelly, badly-designed and enclosed space to avoid spreading bacteria and odors, people of modern times are paying more and more attention to this place and consider it as a relaxation hub after stressful working hours. The design of the bathroom space is increasingly 'open' and imbued with natural elements inside. The author likens the bathroom to a miniature Pandora's box of the house. When opening it, whether it might comprise a source of healthy energy or not depends on the perception and consciousness of the users.
The design of the bathroom has a 2-layer space like a block with many different concepts. While the outer layer has the meaning of the future, the image of modern life is enveloping and preserving traditional concepts, the inner one is symmetrically designed, creating a sense of weight and tranquility, helping users improve their self-worth as well as easily relax in the shower space.
With the theme of health and well-being, Pandora wants to create a space that promotes peace of mind, people can easily contemplate health, nature and realize that every single action have a great impact on what will come to them later.
Who is the target user and how does the design fulfill the need of the target user?
Pandora not only functions as a hotel standard bathroom but also is a great place to experience the mindfulness, self-awareness in mind and soul. Therefore, this place is suitable for those who would love to temporarily espace from their hustle and bustle of their life to find a quiet place to relax, immerse themselves in nature.
How does the design fulfill the theme for the chosen category?
Based on the theme 'Health and Well-being', Pandora bathroom is not only a standard sanitary space of a hotel or resort, but also offers users the experience of relaxation and meditation. Helping users see their life, understand themselves, their origin is also the key to health and happiness in the future.
How does the choice of products contribute to the purpose of the design?
The products in this design are restrained in their shapes, so that the overall bathroom is not too modern but gives the users a feeling of closeness and familiarity. Overall, it still does not lose the sophistication and meticulousness to create a comfortable and luxurious bathroom.
